Ballinderry / Ballyronan
 
Ballinderry  The Ballinderry River provides a scenic “activity rich” link   between the Ardboe area and the Sperrins.

  Ballinderry River Enhancement Association

  The group’s vision is “to restore the Ballinderry River to   its former glory”. The group has been blazing a trail in   river restoration and has been highly successful in   expanding spawning areas, restoring native trout   numbers and providing angling access and learning   opportunities through it's River School.

  In 1995 the group formed a new community business – Ballinderry Fish Hatchery Ltd., which   runs the hatchery, provides fisheries consultancy and sells fish and fishery products.
 



   Ballinderry Women's
   Group


  Ballinderry Women’s Group   was formed in 1995 to
  provide an opportunity for   women of both main   communities to meet and   socialise through the
  medium of adult education   classes. These classes   have proved popular with   local women and run   throughout the year.
  Traad and Ballyronan/Ballinderry
  Development Association

  Development at Ballyronan includes a beach area and   boating marina, walks, picnic sites
  and a caravan park.

  The Traad and Ballyronan /Ballinderry Development   Association have constructed a major Community
  Centre Project at Ballyronan Marina. The centre
  includes youth facilities, social amenities, restaurant,
  ceili house and wet room facilities as it fronts the
  recently up-dated quay side walks at the Marina.
  The complex also has industrial retail units and
  provision for an after schools club.



  Traad and Ballyronan Women's Group

  Women in the area are given an opportunity
  to meet socially to work and train as a
  team with a view to developing personal
  skills and to develop more fully local potential.

  As well as traditional crafts, participants have   taken part in personal development training
  and computer courses. The group meet in
  the Ballyronan Community Centre since 2001   which allows greater scope for organising   activities.

 

  Traad and Ballyronan Festival   Committee - run a successful local   festival each July utilising both
  water and land based activities.

  Ballymaguigan Community   Development Group - promote   community development in the area
  and also have an interest in youth,   women, personal development,
  tourism and environmental issues.
