Moneymore
 
  Moneymore is noted for its Georgian architecture,
  and for the National Trust property of nearby
  Springhill House
, a 17th century manor house
  built for the Lenox-Conyngham family. The village
  has a strong sense of history and architectural
  heritage.


   Mid Ulster Cultural and Heritage Association

  The Mid-Ulster Culture and Heritage Association received an award of funding from
  the National Lotteries Charities Board in 2002. The group organise a cross community
  weekend festival and other cross community events. It aims to encourage cultural
  understanding and tolerance by presenting events which represent all traditions.
  The grant was used to offer support, including office equipment, towards organising
  the group’s annual events and festivals.



  Moneymore Heritage Trust

  The aim of the group is “to promote and advance the social, economic and amenity
  prospects of the area and to provide economic development for the benefit of the
  people in the area”.

  The trust is at present developing a major tourist attraction complex in the Manor House
  and surrounding gardens. This links with the neighbouring Draperstown
  ‘Ulster Plantation Centre’ and the plantation trail.
 



  Moneymore Business and Traders Association

  Moneymore Business and Traders Association was set up to act in the interest of
  local business owners and to support rural businesses in this community. Situated
  between the major market towns of Magherafelt and Cookstown it is thought necessary
  to work co-operatively across all sectors to enhance business prospects of the village.

 



  Moneymore Activity Group

  The group aims to provide social activities for the elderly population in the area by
  organising outings, classes and other social activities. The group held their first
  charity fundraising coffee morning in June 2002.

 



  Loup Women’s Group

  The group undertake a range of activities including computer classes and is carrying out a   community audit to ascertain the needs of local women (October 2002).
